Shelly Hehenberger, shares her love for both art and written word in her newest passion project; “Leaf Life.”
Shelly has been inspired by conversations between spiritual leaders, health care workers, and family members on how to discuss and explain the passing of loved ones to young children. “Leaf Life” is a beautifully written and illustrated poem that helps to open up dialogue in a gentle and loving way.
Happy 4th of July!
These ladies sure do inspire gratitude, love and devotion to one’s country! Robert Rodriguez perfectly captures the beauty, sophistication and grace of the American Girl in his pin-up illustrations.
“Deco Next Door” is a new collection of artwork that has been motivated by the many Art Deco apartment buildings in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver, where Das Grüp illustrator, Christian Musselman lives. The illustrations are stylized, yet accurate in detail, concentrating primarily on the unique tadalafiltablets.net doorways to these structures.
By showcasing these structures with a fanciful Art Deco color palette, Christian hopes these illustrations will spark a new awareness of these often passed-over structures and allow them to be seen as the architectural gems they truly are.
Pamela Duarte has created stunning coloring books filled with unique flower patterns and mandalas. These designs excite the imagination, calm the mind, and center the spirit. Pamm’s inspiration comes from her love of nature and a dear friend that had a passion for coloring. The coloring books can found at Amazon. These books are a source of relaxation and meditation for a person at any age!
Opening Reception for “Like Mother, Like Son” will be held March 22, 2015 at Front Porch Gallery. This exhibit features the work of Carlsbad residents, Crystal Goudey, and her son, Ray Goudey. Crystal is a lifelong portrait artist capturing the essence of her subjects with immaculate technicality. Ray’s talents focus on creating the vibrant and energetic commercial art for products such as Hot Wheels, buysoma.net Keebler and KoolAid. He credits his mother as an important influence who taught him that art can be made out of everyday objects and to see the art in nature. Come and enjoy this intergenerational exhibit!
Ray Goudey has been a freelance illustrator for over 19 years. We are delighted he is part of the Das Grüp team!
ArtistJui Ishida helps to turn trash into treasure! The 9 foot Whale art piece is made entirely of collected plastic beach trash. Jui created it with 6th & 7th graders from her son’s school. It was on display during the holidays at Gallery EXPO in Long Beach.
Proceeds from the community event went to Jui Ishida’s son’s school and Algalita Marine Research Foundation. Recycling common trash benefits the environment, breathes new life into items destined for the landfill and inspires future artists! Good Job Jui!!!
According to Good Reads, National Geographic Kids Animal Stories: Heartwarming True Tales from the Animal Kingdom, illustrations by Jui Ishida, is a collection that comes along only once in a generation.
