Movie poster capture our imagination with a singular image. How do you capture a 90 minute film with a single image? I miss the imagination and magic of illustrated movie posters. The intricate details that go into a single image tell a story to draw you into the movie theater. In the 80s and 90s, two of our artists, Robert Rodriguez and Greg Winters created poster illustrations for various film studios. Illustrations began to disappear in the 1990s, as photographs of actors and actress were used to promote the film.
Here is a few example of our artists work, they are mostly sequels.
Greg Winters – Gremlin 2 (1990)
Greg Winters – Police Academy 4 (1987)
Robert Rodriguez – Jewel of the Nile (1985)
Robert Rodriguez – The Two Jakes (1990)
